Cookie policy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and tracking tools are used by pistacchissimo.it and how you can manage your consent, in accordance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of June 10, 2021, and Art. 122 of the Privacy Code. For general personal data processing, please see our Privacy Policy.
What they are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device. Alongside cookies, there are other tracking and local storage tools (e.g., localStorage) with similar functions. They are divided into technical cookies (necessary for the site to function, do not require consent) and non-technical cookies/tools (statistical, profiling, or third-party, which require your prior consent).
What we use
1. Technical — always active
- Cloudflare (e.g.,
__cf_bm,cf_clearance): security and anti-bot cookies necessary to protect the Site. Duration: from a few minutes to a few days. - ProcessWire session (
pw444): set only for users logged into the administration area, not for regular visitors. - Local storage (localStorage): remembers your recent searches and your display preference for the homepage presentation. It stays on your device, is not transmitted, and does not identify you.
2. Statistical — Google Analytics 4 (upon consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to understand how the Site is used in an aggregated form. The related cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>) are installed only after your consent to the "Statistics" category; the IP address is anonymized and advertising signals (Google Signals) are disabled. Cookie duration: up to 24 months; data retention on Google: 14 months. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Push notifications — OneSignal (upon consent)
If you activate the "Notifications" category and consent to the browser request, OneSignal (OneSignal, Inc.) allows us to send you push notifications. Subscription occurs only with your explicit action and uses a service worker and technical identifiers (subscription tokens, browser/device data) necessary for the service; saved via localStorage/IndexedDB, not via traditional cookies. Retained until unsubscription, which you can do at any time from the banner ("Cookie preferences") or your browser settings. Policy: onesignal.com/privacy_policy.
4. Embedded third-party services
- OpenStreetMap (Map page): when the map is opened, your IP address is communicated to OpenStreetMap servers to load map images. No cookies are installed.
- Google Maps: some links ("Open in Google Maps") redirect to Google; the related processing is governed by Google's policy.

How you manage consent
Upon your first visit, a banner allows you to accept all or reject all non-technical cookies, or to choose category by category (Statistics, Notifications). Until you make a choice, statistical and notification tools remain disabled. You can modify or revoke your consent at any time via the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page; you will be asked again after 6 months. Your choice is saved locally on your device (not via cookies).
How you manage cookies from your browser
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Disabling technical cookies may compromise the Site's functionality.
