When will the Sagra di Bronte 2021 be held? On which dates?

So many of you are asking me for information about the Sagra di Bronte 2021, whose official name (for a few years now) is actually "EXPO del Pistacchio di Bronte 2021".
Will it happen this year? What dates will it be?
Unfortunately, the answer is simple: IT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR
It is normally held on the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October, so the dates would have been as follows:
- Friday, September 24, 2021
- Saturday, September 25, 2021
- Sunday, September 26, 2021
- Friday, October 1, 2021
- Saturday, October 2, 2021
- Sunday, October 3, 2021
Every year, it is estimated that the festival attracts about 100,000 visitors, significantly crowding the streets of the town, which is obviously quite small. With the COVID-19 emergency, once again this year, there are absolutely no conditions to hold the event safely. Every year, in fact, there is considerable confusion in the streets, but above all long lines in front of the most popular stands, as well as inside cafes and shops.
2021, by the way, is a harvest year (it happens every 2 years), so it would have been possible to buy very fresh pistachios. Nevertheless, I believe the administration's choice not to hold the event is very wise, once again, in the hope of a better 2022.
If you want to support the economy of Bronte, you can still go there any day of the year and you will find most of the products always available in the various businesses in town.
I invite you to check out the BRONTE section of the site to discover many interesting things that are always available: CLICK HERE.
