A good cake made with pistachio ice cream!

Pistacchissimo travels to all sorts of venues to help you discover the best places to eat great pistachio, but sometimes reviews happen by chance. Today I was at a party and up popped a pistachio ice cream cake, made by Caffè Mon Chery, in Catania, so it was time to taste and review!
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pistachio ice cream, which managed to hold its own despite the presence of other strong flavors like the soak in the thin layer of sponge cake. Furthermore, very often, ice cream cakes are subjected to such low temperatures that the ice cream is ruined by excessive "freezing," losing all flavor, whereas this one still retained a good pistachio flavor. The whipped cream covering and decorating the cake was also excellent.
Aesthetically, the cake was truly beautiful; it's a pity the photo of the single slice doesn't do it justice, but you can find many photos on their Facebook page.
Although we are not looking at the best pistachio ice cream in the city, it was still very good and the cake's execution was truly commendable, hence the final rating of 4 pistacchi.
