Intense pistachio flavor and excellent creaminess!

The Chiosco Sciacca in Valverde is very famous for numerous specialties, such as their fabulous "stecco-frutta" and the many frappè made with their exclusive creams. Among the most popular is, of course, the pistachio frappè.
Considered by many to be one of the best in the entire province of Catania, does it live up to its reputation? The answer, in short, is yes.
The pistachio flavor is truly intense, with no unwanted aftertastes. The milk flavor is perfectly balanced, as is the sweetness, making the frappè delicious and never cloying. The texture is also excellent; it is very creamy and full-bodied, but not so thick that it becomes difficult to drink.
It is undoubtedly one of the best around, establishing itself as a benchmark in the category.

We also tried some of their special frappè made with pistachio and other flavors, featuring some truly fantastic flavor mixes. In particular:
- Pistacchioso: a mix of different pistachio and chocolate-based creams, truly fantastic
- Pistachio and Peanut Butter: a fabulous flavor mix where the peanut and pistachio flavors blend to create a unique taste that is among my favorites
- Antica Sicilia: a mix of almond, hazelnut, and pistachio, where the almond flavor certainly dominates, but the other two create some very interesting flavor dynamics
