A good cornetto, but white chocolate steals the show.

Rating: 3
Every now and then, I get a craving for a pistachio croissant for breakfast, so why not try the one at C&G, in Catania?
The cornetto offered by C&G is filled, as is the case almost everywhere, with pistachio spread, which is made starting from white chocolate with added pistachio paste. Unfortunately, in C&G's case, there is too little pistachio and the taste of white chocolate dominates. The pistachio flavor isn't totally absent—it does provide a certain aroma—but if you closed your eyes, you might think you were eating a white chocolate croissant.
It is worth noting that the dough is very buttery, a characteristic I appreciate, in the tradition of French croissants, though it might bother some who are used to the more delicate flavors of Sicilian bars.
Ultimately, it's a good cornetto, but with a pistachio flavor that is too light, so the rating is 3 pistacchi.
