AΣTPA - ASTRA Café, in Catania, is always ready to satisfy your cravings at any time of day with excellent sweet and savory dishes. They entered their pistachio rame di napoli in the great 2018 rame challenge.
The appearance is quite unique; while the glaze distribution isn't perfectly neat, its color and thickness are mouth-watering and make you want to take a bite. To top it all off, there is an abundance of crunchy chopped pistachios.
Upon biting, you are met with a rame di napoli that has a very interesting taste, likely among those with the most balanced flavors. The cookie is very good and blends perfectly with the glaze and the pistachio cream filling.
The cream and glaze are good, with an average pistachio flavor. The contribution of the crunchy chopped pistachios is more interesting, though it isn't enough to completely steal the show.
