Pistachio dough and glaze, absolutely delicious.
Rating: 8/10
Panificio Mulara stands out in Barrafranca for the way it blends tradition and innovation. A perfect example is their beautiful Pistachio Taralli, a reinterpretation of the classic local sweets typically enjoyed during the All Souls' Day festivities.
The aroma released the moment you open the box is impressive. The taralli look beautiful and tempting, with their colorful glaze in a very convincing shade of green. Once broken open, they reveal a dough speckled with green, as they are kneaded with pistachio. They are soft yet firm to the bite, and truly enjoyable.
The pistachio flavor, light but present throughout the dough, is fantastic and sets them apart from the traditional version. The excellent pistachio glaze gives an extra boost, enhancing the overall pistachio experience. In the end, you are left with a light and pleasant lingering pistachio taste on the palate.

Although they don't have a cream filling, this is a simple yet indulgent treat that is a real pleasure to eat. They are also made with top-quality Sicilian flours.
I really enjoyed them, and they deserve a rating of 8/10.
