Garden Bar, in Linguaglossa (province of Catania), offers a vast selection of sweet and savory items. During a snack break, we tried their pistachio bignè.
The appearance is truly lovely, with a convincing green glaze and some chopped pistachios. Upon biting, it reveals a pistachio pastry cream that is quite pale in color, but above all, the pistachio flavor is unfortunately imperceptible. You can taste the classic pastry cream base, with a light aroma that seems to be lemon.
The only hint of pistachio comes from the chopped nuts on the surface, which occasionally provide a nice crunch.
They definitely need to increase the percentage of pistachio in the cream to achieve a better result. Based on our tasting, unfortunately, the rating is 2/10.
