Crunchy shell and excellent cream, even if it lacks a strong pistachio punch.

La Pignolata Guinness Cannoli, in Taormina, churns out delicious Sicilian cannoli all day long, filled to order. We decided to try the version with pistachio cream as well.
For our test, we ordered a "Special", which is dual-flavor with ricotta on one side and pistachio cream on the other. The shell is super crunchy and tasty, truly excellent, and filled on the spot with fresh ricotta and pistachio cream.
Both the ricotta and the cream are excellent, although the ricotta impressed us more. The pistachio cream, in fact, while good, is very aromatic and the pistachio flavor is almost imperceptible (we don't know the percentage used).
Ultimately, it is an excellent cannolo and we are glad that a tourist visiting Taormina can enjoy a quality product like this, but in terms of pistachio flavor, our rating is 4/10.
To enhance the flavor, they would likely need to create a more delicate cream and increase the amount of pistachio paste inside.
