Creamy and tasty, just a bit too roasted.

I Vicerè, on the northern outskirts of Catania, offers a wide selection of sweet and savory items in a modern-style venue. We tried their pistachio granita to continue expanding our granita collection.
The granita is visually appealing, with a lovely green color and visible creaminess. Tasting it confirms that you are dealing with an excellent granita, featuring the creaminess typical of the Catanese style.
The flavor is well-balanced and never too sweet, making it refreshing and enjoyable. Regarding the pistachio, we found a medium intensity, slightly penalized by the excessive roasting of the pistachio, which significantly mutes the flavor of the nut, though it remains very pleasant nonetheless. It is certainly among the best in its rating bracket.
The brioche is very good, with a slightly "rustic" flour texture that will please those who enjoy doughs reminiscent of whole wheat (even if that is not the case here). The other flavor we paired it with was also good: in this case, mulberry, which was fresh and not too tart.
