Giant, tasty, and pistachio-packed.

Bar Sgroi is located in Catania, at the top of the famous Via Sangiuliano hill. We tried their pistachio granita!
When it arrived at the table, the granita had a very soft color, perhaps a bit too pale, which could actually indicate the absence of food coloring.
Upon tasting, however, we were disappointed by the flavor, which was decidedly centered on the taste of almond, with only all-too-faint hints of pistachio. The texture of the granita is very good, according to Catania standards (given that texture is a real school of thought from city to city!).
The brioche is average, so good, but not spectacular.
