If you are looking for a good pistachio granita in Pedara, in the province of Catania, you should pay a visit to Bar Miraglia in Pedara (not to be confused with Miraglia in Aci Sant'Antonio).
We had the chance to enjoy their pistachio granita during the Sagra della Granita, and we were pleasantly impressed! The pistachio flavor is excellent and well-defined; it really won us over. The texture is also noteworthy, very similar to that of a true granita (a rarity among pistachio granitas), making it quite "icy" and refreshing.
Given its quality, it fully deserves a score of 8/10 and is definitely recommended.
If you are looking for a more intense pistachio flavor, you can ask for their PISTACCHISSIMO flavor, which, despite the texture (a bit more like gelato), has a much more intense pistachio taste.
The brioche are also delicious, and the ricotta flavor is an absolute must-try, as it pairs perfectly with the pistachio.
