Looking for an explosion of pistachio flavor? Perhaps in the form of a semifreddo? Then you must try the single-portion pistachio semifreddo crafted by DUCI la monofficina, in Catania.
If the color already hints at a positive experience, it is only upon tasting that you will have absolute confirmation that you are holding an authentic delight! The pistachio flavor is intense and precise, with no interference from other unwanted flavors (typically almond).
If we want to be picky and find a flaw, the chocolate coating it's presented with isn't quite up to the same level. Furthermore, the single portion is on the small side, which makes it a perfect after-meal treat, but unfortunately, it will be gone sooner than you'd like.
Considering the quality of the ingredients and the excellent taste, we can only award it the highest rating, 9/10, making it an absolutely recommended dessert!
You can go and enjoy it in one of the many venues in Catania that source their desserts directly from DUCI (Buatta, Ostello, Cutilisci, etc).
