Are you craving a delicious pistachio gelato in Catania? Perhaps while strolling along the seafront? Try the one from Pasticceria Mantegna, on the Catania seafront.
The pistachio flavor is intense and well-defined, with no unwanted aftertastes (typically almond). The gelato is truly very creamy and pleasant to enjoy. It is worth noting, if we want to be extremely picky, a slight hint of milk that might bother some people.
Unfortunately, it doesn't reach the top score because it doesn't use Bronte pistachio DOP, and the difference is somewhat noticeable, but it is undoubtedly one of the best gelatos made with "regular" pistachio that you can find in Catania. It therefore deserves a rating of 4 pistachios!
