An excellent gelato made with natural ingredients.

Overlooking the beautiful main square of Acicastello, the Slurp gelateria crafts excellent artisanal gelato, among which we simply had to try the pistachio gelato.
The large chalkboard at the entrance, in addition to listing the available flavors, highlights the authenticity of the ingredients used. The soft, natural color of the pistachio gelato (slightly leaning towards beige) suggests that everything is authentic (no artificial coloring).
Upon tasting, we are met with an excellent gelato, with a light base that is absolutely not overpowering, perfectly creamy and never heavy. The pistachio flavor is well-defined, making the gelato truly enjoyable.
In my opinion, the only minor flaw is the slightly pronounced roasting level, which tends to mask the flavor of the pistachio pulp.
Ultimately, an excellent pistachio gelato, above average, which deserves a rating of 8/10.
If you are strolling through Aci Castello, admiring the stunning sea and the imposing castle perched on the lava rock, this is definitely a recommended gelato.
