Rating: 8/10

Chiacchiere, also known as frappe, are traditional Italian pastries prepared during Carnevale, made with a simple dough that becomes crispy when fried.

There are countless regional names: chiacchiere, bugie, galani, sfrappole, cenci, crostoli, frappe, fiocchetti, rosoni, lasagne, pampuglie, etc. Just as there are variations in the name, there is also plenty of room for interesting flavor variations, such as chocolate and, inevitably, pistachio!

Cordialbar in Bronte offers an interesting version filled with their artisanal pistachio cream.

The crunchiness of the dough is excellent, but the real specialty is the filling hidden under the glaze. The cream is abundant and very creamy, thanks to its milk base, which pairs beautifully with the crispiness of the dough. Cordialbar's cream is characterized by a very natural pistachio taste, as the nuts are not roasted.

A truly delicious product that stands out from most others on the market.
