A great pistachio cornetto on the Aci Trezza seafront!
Mythos is one of the most popular bars in Aci Trezza (a district of Aci Castello, Catania), thanks to its prime location on the seafront with a view of the Faraglioni.
I tried their pistachio cornetto and was pleasantly satisfied. The dough is soft and has good lamination.
The pistachio cream is generous just right, with a good pistachio flavor. The percentage of pistachio is likely not very high, but the overall result is very good, thanks to the toasted notes and a cream base that isn't too pungent.
NOTE: the one in the photo, which I tried, is the "mini" size, but they also have the regular size available.
