Giargeri is an excellent pastry shop in Piano Tavola / Belpasso (just a few minutes' drive from Catania).
The pistachio pastry cream used for the filling has an intense pistachio flavor, with strong toasted notes that linger on the palate.
Since it is a pastry cream, rather than a spread, it doesn't feel cloying, so you can easily finish the whole cannolo, even in the large size, without any difficulty.
The shell, in the one I tried, had lost a bit of its crunch, likely due to the moisture from the cream. But nothing dramatic.
Ultimately, it is among the most pistachio-packed I've ever tried and therefore highly recommended. Kudos to the Giargeri pastry shop.
