Oasi Azzurra Village is located on the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily, in San Saba, a fishing village between Milazzo and Messina. We tried their pistachio gelato and their pistachio granita; in this review, we are focusing on the gelato!
It is one of the best gelatos we have ever tasted, characterized by an incredibly intense pistachio flavor!
You can clearly perceive the high percentage of pure pistachio paste in the recipe, which helps make the gelato very full-bodied, as well as very "pistachio-forward." The color also confirms the high pistachio content.
The gelato is not very sweet and is well-balanced and highly enjoyable. The other flavor we paired it with was also quite good.
