An excellent pistachio gelato.
Casa Infante is one of the most famous pastry shops/gelaterias in Napoli, so I couldn't pass up the chance to try their pistachio gelato, which you can also enrich with their pistachio cream called "pistacchiato".
I've tried many of their flavors and they are all very good, from the cream-based ones to the fruit ones.
The pistachio gelato is no exception, and the pistachio flavor is well-defined, with no unwanted aftertastes. You can really taste the pure pistachio paste, which has a fairly high level of roasting and a high percentage. The milk base doesn't overpower it, leaving the right amount of space for the pistachio.
I highly recommend topping it with the "pistacchiato" cream, which is truly very good and also features a distinct pistachio paste flavor.
In the photo, you see it served in a brioche, which I found quite good, though it could be improved. Alternatively, you can go for a classic cone or a cup.
Note: they have numerous locations
