A good pistachio cornetto.
New Paradise is one of the most famous bars in Palermo, thanks to their highly popular Instagram page. I've tried many of their products, including their pistachio cornetto.
The dough is very good, soft, and well-laminated. The pistachio cream is also quite pleasant and pairs well with the dough, creating a great overall flavor.
I'm not sure if it's the same cream they sell in jars, which contains 18% pistachio. If it is, the result is impressive because, despite the relatively low percentage, the pistachio is quite noticeable, especially in its toasted notes.
The white base of the cream is very present, however, making it quite "buttery" with a notable white chocolate aftertaste.
If you're looking for a good cornetto for breakfast in Palermo, it's definitely worth considering!
