Contadini di Sicilia, based in Acireale, offers various pistachio products, available online as well. At trade fairs, their colorful selection of creamy liqueurs immediately catches the eye, and the pistachio version is a must-have.
The consistency is, as expected, very creamy. Once poured, you will notice an intoxicating and truly pleasant pistachio scent. Upon tasting, it confirms itself as an excellent liqueur with a fairly strong alcoholic kick, though it doesn't interfere too much with the pistachio tasting experience. The pistachio flavor is truly good and quite well-defined. The presence of pistachio bits (5%) in addition to the infused pistachio is very interesting, providing tiny solid traces as you drink it.
Ultimately, an excellent product with a great price-to-quality ratio. Thanks to its strong but not overpowering pistachio flavor, it earns a rating of 8/10. Highly recommended.
