Pistachio liqueurs can make for an excellent sweet after-dinner treat. Among the many available is the pistachio rosolio by Distilleria Fratelli Russo.
Although it is a good liqueur that nicely refreshes the palate, the pistachio aroma is only vaguely hinted at. Furthermore, there are some bitter notes that clash with the sweet pistachio aftertaste.
We recommend serving it chilled and perhaps pairing it with some dry biscuits (such as pistachio cantucci).
The rating, taking into account that it is a good liqueur but with a nearly imperceptible pistachio taste, is 4/10.
