Excellent granita with a very roasted pistachio flavor!

Bar Carletto is located in Marzamemi, just a few steps from the famous and stunning Piazza Regina Margherita. Among the many fantastic fruit flavors, we also tried their pistachio granita.
The color is very intense and the creaminess is pushed to the limit, a clear sign of a high percentage of pure pistachio paste. Upon tasting, it confirms that the pistachio is very prominent and, as one might guess from the color, very roasted.
Given the intensity, it would almost deserve a top score, but we noticed a rather pronounced bitter note (likely due to the excessive roasting), which slightly impacts the final experience.
The brioche are excellent—soft and tasty, but above all, incredibly affordable!
If you find yourself in Marzamemi, this is undoubtedly one of the recommended granitas! Truly excellent!
All the fruit-flavored granitas and cremolate we tasted at this spot were also fantastic, but naturally, our focus remains on the pistachio granita.
