PLEASE NOTE

Review from August 2021.

Many beach clubs change their bar suppliers annually,
so it is difficult to predict if the quality will remain consistent over time.

Along the coastline of spiaggia Carratois, which is part of the Portopalo area, there are several beach clubs, including El Caraibe Beach.

Among the granite available at the beach club bar, there was also a pistachio one, so I had to try it! To be precise, it is a cremolata, which is essentially a granita with a high percentage of nuts.

Upon tasting, the very high percentage of pistachio is confirmed, making it creamy and intense. Unfortunately, the pistachio used was, in my opinion, excessively toasted, almost to the point of being burnt.

Overall, however, I was pleasantly impressed, especially since I was at a beach club in a highly touristy area, a situation where pistachio often has an almond aftertaste, or even worse, is made only with artificial colors and flavors. Not a memorable granita, but definitely enjoyable for cooling off by the sea!

NOTE: while we were at the beach club, we also had first and second courses for lunch. Nothing exceptional, but still good enough for a lunch on-site.
