A good pistachio tagliata, perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Ristorante Protosteria is quite well-known in Bronte and is located right in the town center. They offer both pasta and meat dishes, some featuring pistachio and others not. So, let's talk about one of their meat dishes with pistachio!
They have several meat options with pistachio, and we chose to try the tagliata.
The pistachio is of excellent quality, lightly toasted, where you can really taste the typical natural sweetness of Bronte pistachio DOP. The percentage of pistachio is also very high, and the cream is truly generous.
The meat is also cooked just right, tender and slightly rare.
The only flaw, in my personal opinion, is that the salt level was a bit too low, which made the dish slightly bland. These are obviously subjective matters, but if you decide to eat at this restaurant and don't like things under-salted, you might want to ask for a bit more salt.
