Generous chopped pistachio and an interesting salty note.

Bar Costa, in Misterbianco, crafts an interesting pistachio granita, rich in chopped pistachios, which we sampled for our 2018 best granita ranking.
The intense color is the first thing that catches your eye, along with the generous amount of chopped pistachio throughout the granita, which is clearly visible.
On the palate, you can feel the "crunchiness" of all those bits, as well as a slight, very interesting salty note. Despite the chopped nuts, the granita maintains a good level of creaminess.
The pistachio used is not strongly aromatic, but thanks to the truly generous quantity, this minor flaw is undoubtedly balanced out. The brioche didn't thrill us, but it's hard to judge it based on a single tasting.
Ultimately, it is a good pistachio granita, definitely recommended if you find yourself near Bar Costa in Misterbianco. It earns a rating of 8/10.
