Super creamy with an intense pistachio flavor!

Gelatissimo is located in Catania and, as the name suggests, it specializes in gelato and granita, so we couldn't wait to rush over and try their pistachio granita.
What strikes you immediately is the incredible creaminess of the granita, made possible by the presence of milk in the recipe. This aspect might make granita purists turn up their noses, as it makes it very similar to gelato.
The pistachio flavor is truly excellent; you can clearly and intensely taste the pure pistachio paste, with some very pleasant roasted notes, as well as a delicate mix of sweet and "salty".
A definitely highly recommended granita (as long as you aren't lactose intolerant)! The brioche is also good, as was the other flavor (fruit-based) we paired with the pistachio.
