Good pistachio flavor. Very little sugar.
Cafè Rocher is among the most renowned bars in Giarre and offers a good variety of granite. We tried their pistachio granita.
The granita has a medium creaminess and a good pistachio flavor, medium-roasted, without any unwanted aftertastes of almond or artificial aromas.
It is characterized by a note of "dryness" on the palate, which strongly recalls the pistachio skin, which I find very interesting.
Another particular note is the very low amount of sugar, which might even be off-putting for those who don't like less sweet desserts. In my opinion, a pinch more sugar would help to enhance the sweetness of the pistachio as well, but it remains an interesting choice, and I certainly prefer too little sugar over too much.
Definitely a good product, which I would recommend if you are looking for a pistachio granita in Giarre!
