Fine craftsmanship, but the pistachio doesn't stand out.

Rating: 3
Pasticceria f.lli Gangi is undoubtedly among the best spots in Bronte, as well as one of my favorites; in fact, you can enjoy many delicacies there, such as the best pistachio gelato.
Although they excel in many things, not everything is perfect, such as the pistachio cannolo we already discussed, or the pistachio granita we are reviewing here.
The granite at Pasticceria f.lli Gangi are of high quality, all made with fresh and selected ingredients, as is the case with their fresh fruit flavors, and the same applies to the pistachio granita (made with Bronte pistachio DOP). Unfortunately, when it comes to the pistachio granita, the final result is not as exciting as one would expect. While you are dealing with a good granita in terms of texture and overall flavor, the pistachio taste is good but too light. There is no interference from almond or other flavors, to be clear—it is just pistachio—but likely due to the processing method chosen, the final flavor is not intense enough.
Ultimately, considering the very light pistachio taste, the final rating is only 3 pistachios.
If you visit F.lli Gangi, I recommend opting for one of their many other delights: gelato, filletta, truffles, etc.
