A solid arancino in the heart of Catania.
Rating: 7/10
Spinella is undoubtedly one of the most famous bars in Catania, often brought up in the eternal battle against Savia over who is the true king of arancini on Via Etnea, right across from Villa Bellini.
The arancino is certainly good, featuring a nice fry and a rich filling. The pistachio flavor remains very subtle, with a few notes of "sweetness," but it is generally overpowered by the taste of the cheese/béchamel and the bits of cured meat inside.
Overall, it is a very pleasant arancino, much like their ragù version, confirming the quality of Spinella's products, though it could definitely lean more into the pistachio flavor.
