Excellent! One of the best takeaway pistachio pizzas!
Rating: 8/10
In the endless landscape of takeaway pizzas, finding a good pistachio pizza is a very difficult task, but fortunately, there are rare exceptions like "Pizzeria Raciti" in Catania.
The pizza on the menu has the most predictable and direct name imaginable: Pistachio! The ingredients are: mozzarella, pistachio cream, prosciutto crudo, parmesan shavings, chopped pistachios, and oil.
The appearance is definitely inviting, with an abundant layer of chopped pistachios and a sheen from the oil, as well as dough with a promising color. Upon tasting, it confirms that you are dealing with a truly excellent pizza, with great dough (crispy and soft at the same time) and high-quality ingredients!
The generous amount of chopped pistachios is of good quality, providing a great pistachio flavor, which obviously combines with the one provided by the pistachio cream (cream-based). The prosciutto crudo, slightly toasted by the heat of the oven, is truly delicious and pairs perfectly with the pistachio. The pairing with the parmesan (shavings) is also spot on.

Although it is fantastic, it is not without small flaws, albeit easily improvable. First of all, more pistachio pesto should be added to the cream, which turns out too white; furthermore, it would be interesting to have some larger pistachio chunks. Secondly, some might not like the significant amount of parmesan shavings, which makes the whole thing very salty—in my opinion, it's delicious, but that comes down to personal taste.
Ultimately, it is undoubtedly one of the best takeaway pistachio pizzas in the city!
We hope this excellent pizzeria manages to perfect it by tweaking the small flaws found, to make it truly perfect. The advice, as always, is to specify that you want "extra pistachio" when you order.
