Excellent dough and overall taste, but not very "pistacchiosa".

Rating: 4/10
Set in the beautiful surroundings of an agriturismo just a stone's throw from Giarre, you can enjoy excellent pizzas made with high-quality ingredients and dough. We are talking about Agriturismo Casale l'Abate, where among the various pistachio pizza options on the menu, we find the "Pistacchiosa", featuring pistachio crumble.
The full list of ingredients is:
- Buffalo mozzarella
- Speck
- Pistachio crumble
- Shaved Grana cheese
- Extra virgin olive oil, salt, and oregano
The pizza has a truly excellent overall taste, with a dough that strikes the right balance between crunchiness and softness, and is very well leavened. The ingredients are all of excellent quality, especially the buffalo mozzarella and the speck, which balance each other out perfectly.
Unfortunately, from a pistachio perspective, the pizza doesn't live up to its name, as the pistachio crumble, while of good quality, is not very abundant and rarely manages to make itself noticed among the other ingredients. The crumble, when tasted on its own, actually has a great crunch and a good pistachio flavor, but we would have expected a much more generous shower of crumble.

It is worth noting that the quality of the ingredients is evident not only in the pizzas but also in the excellent appetizers, such as those made with fresh potatoes, as well as in the desserts, all of which are homemade.
We are confident that Casale l'Abate will be able to improve this product, but as it stands, the pistachio flavor is almost imperceptible.
