Natural pistachio pesto in a tasty and well-balanced burger.

TuManji, in San Giovanni La Punta (Catania), is a small, highly original spot with a movie-themed setting: the decor is filled with iconic film memorabilia and all the burgers are named after movies.
The lack of a pistachio burger on their menu absolutely had to be addressed, and so, in collaboration with Pistacchissimo, a burger designed for true pistachio lovers was born, named "PISTACCHISSIMO ME" (a clear nod to the movie Despicable Me).

A simple and balanced burger, yet at the same time incredibly tasty and full of pistachio flavor. The ingredients are: beef patty, speck, pistachio pesto, shaved grana cheese, and pistachio flour.
The natural pistachio pesto provides the intensity that true pistachio lovers crave, thanks in part to the generous portion. Beyond offering excellent flavor, the natural pesto also provides a pleasant granular pistachio texture on the palate.
The contrast with speck and grana is always a winning combination with pistachio, and everything rests on an excellent beef patty. The bun, lightly toasted, is delicious and enhanced by the pistachio flour on top.
The size is perfect for enjoying the whole thing without feeling weighed down, and the ingredients are perfectly balanced. Thanks to the strong pistachio flavor, it earns a rating of 9/10.
