One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten, but the pistachio isn't the star.
Verace Elettrica is a fantastic project by pizzaiolo Sergio Russo, who has brought an innovative, high-quality pizza concept to a shopping mall in Milazzo, defying the typical paradigms of food courts filled with fast food and mediocre options.
They are open for both lunch and dinner, and you will find yourself face-to-face with one of the best pizzas currently in circulation! The attention to the dough and ingredients is obsessive, and you can tell just by looking at them and tasting them!
I tried several pizzas, each better than the last (the red ones are highly recommended!!), but this review focuses on the "Mortazza", the one with pistachio. The pizza is sublime overall, but it must be said that the pistachio is not the star, as it is only present in the form of chopped nuts (albeit very good ones!) and accompanied by many other very strong ingredients (which are also fantastic).
In particular, you will be captivated by the sublime flavor of the yellow cherry tomatoes, sweet and tasty, which almost resemble a "jam", combined with the deliciousness of the paper-thin mortadella.
The chopped pistachio, which as I mentioned is of excellent quality, adds a very pleasant crunchy note, as well as a small contribution to the flavor, but it is not the protagonist of the pizza.
Everything rests on an authentic, modern-style dough that is extremely light, so much so that it feels like a cloud!
