Interesting pistachio breading, but the overall taste didn't convince me.
New Paradise is one of the most famous bars in Palermo thanks to its constant innovation. I have tried many of their products, including their pistachio arancine, both sweet and savory.
The sweet arancina has an interesting pistachio breading on the outside that really impressed me, because I have never seen them made so well (and where you can actually taste the pistachio).
Inside, there is a sort of pistachio pastry cream, different from the one in their cornetti. The pistachio flavor in the cream is noticeable, even if not very strong.
However, the overall flavor didn't convince me, with a rather "cloying" taste that reminded me more of crispelle di riso than a pistachio dessert.
I really like the idea, especially because I love sweet arancini (especially with Nutella Ferrero), but this version didn't win me over.
