Il Baretto is located in Augusta and features a spacious, welcoming setting. We tried their pistachio granita.
The presentation is excellent, served in a large, generous cup.
The pistachio flavor is quite prominent, earning it a 7/10, with a texture that sits right between "icy" and creamy. The color is a bit too vibrant, but there are no almond-like aftertastes, which is a big plus.
The mulberry flavor is excellent, and the brioche is delicious and lovely and soft.
PS. We first reviewed it back in 2021 and were very disappointed by the almond aftertaste; however, tasting it again in 2025, we found a remarkable leap in quality, which we are very happy about.
