Rosmarino Cafe is located in Augusta, overlooking the seafront: it is a new, spacious, and well-kept spot, featuring an internal garden that invites you to linger. The menu doesn't offer a huge variety of flavors, but we are only interested in one thing: pistachio.
The Tasting
The granita features a distinct pistachio flavor that doesn't hide its true nature. Upon tasting, a very pleasant note of toasted skin stands out, without ever veering into burnt territory: a sign of raw ingredients handled with care. The texture has medium creaminess, neither too watery nor overly dense.
The brioche is flavorful, although in our experience it was a bit overbaked. This might have been an off day or an isolated incident, so we don't consider it a structural flaw of the establishment.
Conclusions
For those looking for an honest pistachio, with that roast that speaks of authenticity, this granita delivers. The rating is 3.5 pistacchi out of 5: good aromatic profile, medium texture, it doesn't excel but it does its job well.
