Fantastic pistachio cream, a bit overshadowed by the other ingredients.

PizzaRitrò is an excellent takeaway pizzeria in Catania, with a young staff that bets everything on the quality of their ingredients and service. One of their signature dishes is the pistachio pizza, which goes by the name "Pistacchiò," a clear nod to the name of the place. Could I resist rushing over to try it?
If you visit the pizzeria in person, you might be lucky enough to find a Pistacchiò already prepared to grab a slice, along with other pizzas or pizzoli; furthermore, you can also choose to eat your pizza on-site, thanks to a few small tables. When I order my pizza, as is my habit, I specify "extra pistachio cream."
From its appearance and aroma alone, you can tell you're dealing with a pizza made with quality ingredients, and upon tasting it, that is confirmed: all the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The pizza dough is crispy and really very good, even if, in my opinion, a bit salty.
The overall flavor of the pizza is truly excellent, but the pistachio cream is slightly masked by the many ingredients (in particular, I would say, by the tomato). However, when you bite into parts where there is only cream, you can tell it is truly exquisite; it's no coincidence that this pistachio cream is their secret recipe.
The price-to-quality ratio is good, considering the quality, even if it's not a cheap pizza (€8), especially for takeaway. The option to get a mini version for half the price is interesting.
Ultimately, we are looking at one of the best pistachio pizzas in the city. The cream would deserve top marks, but given the overall flavor, the rating is 4 pistacchi.
