Excellent pizza, but pistachio is not the dominant ingredient.

Rating: 4/10
In the beautiful setting of Agriturismo Casale l'Abate, just a short walk from the center of Giarre, you can enjoy excellent pizzas made with a great dough and quality ingredients. We are talking about Agriturismo Casale l'Abate, where among the various pistachio pizza options on the menu, we find the "Brontese," characterized by the presence of chopped pistachio.
The complete list of ingredients is:
- Pistachio pesto
- Buffalo mozzarella
- Cooked ham
- Shaved Grana cheese
- Extra virgin olive oil, salt, and oregano

What is labeled as "pistachio pesto" is actually a house-made pistachio cream, prepared with rather coarsely ground pistachio and a bit of cream to bind it all together. The quality of the pistachio is good, making it enjoyable in those bites where you can really taste it, but across most of the pizza, the other ingredients end up dominating.
The foundation is certainly good; it would likely suffice to increase the amount of pistachio relative to the cream to achieve a more intense flavor that provides a more uniform and defined pistachio taste.
All the other ingredients are of excellent quality, from the buffalo mozzarella to the cooked ham and the shaved Grana. The pizza dough is also extremely pleasant, with the right level of saltiness and a perfect balance between crunchiness and softness.
The appetizers are also highly recommended, all made with very fresh products, as are their excellent house-made desserts. A special mention goes to the service, which is truly impeccable and very fast, even during peak hours.

Ultimately, it is an excellent pizza, characterized by a great dough and quality ingredients, but it could offer more in terms of pistachio, due to the very subtle pistachio flavor.
