You can barely taste the pistachio, despite the generous amount.

Panificio Lo Giudice (you can find it as Panificio Monaco on Facebook and Google Maps) is located in Catania and, in addition to standard bakery products, offers an extensive takeaway pizza menu, both round and tray-baked. We tried their pistachio pizza.
Among the various options, we chose the 'Pistacchio', made with: mozzarella, pistachio cream, onion, sausage, and chopped pistachios. To better savor the pistachio, we asked for the onion to be left off.
The pizza is on the small side, but has an incredible green color and is overflowing with pistachio, which makes it look truly inviting. Upon tasting, unfortunately, the pistachio flavor is almost imperceptible, leaving plenty of room for the taste of the oil in the pesto and a slight bitter note. Even the pistachio flour, despite its color and quantity, doesn't taste particularly flavorful.
The dough is well-leavened and tends towards crispy, with flour that doesn't have a particularly distinct taste.
A pizza that is definitely a feast for the eyes, but one that disappointed us in terms of pistachio flavor. Our rating is 4/10.
