Unfortunately, the pistachio fails to make its presence felt.

PizzaRì is a takeaway pizzeria in Catania with a rich and inviting menu. We tried their pistachio pizza, the Mortadellina.
The ingredients are: mozzarella, pistachio cream, mortadella, chopped pistachios.
The idea of sending the mortadella in a separate container is very nice, a choice increasingly made by takeaway pizzerias for certain types of cured meats (especially mortadella and prosciutto crudo). This choice also allowed me to better photograph the pistachio on the pizza, which otherwise would have been totally covered by the mortadella, given the generous amount of the latter.
The pistachio cream unfortunately turns out to be very faint and the light dusting of pistachio flour cannot work miracles, thus making the pistachio flavor almost absent.
The dough is good, if you like a fairly crispy style. The overall flavor is also pleasant, thanks to the good quality of the ingredients and the taste of the dough.
The final rating, given the excessively faint pistachio flavor, is 4/10.
