Excellent pistachio cream, intense and creamy!
Pizzeria Sant'Agata is a takeaway/delivery pizzeria located in Catania, specifically in the Picanello district.
They have many pistachio options on their menu, including pizzas and calzoni. Their strong point is undoubtedly the pistachio cream, with a very intense pistachio flavor, which offers a great experience for pistachio lovers!
Since it is a cream-based sauce, it doesn't feel oily or heavy (as can happen with low-quality pistachio pesto). Furthermore, the percentage of pistachio in the cream is very high, making the flavor really stand out.
The other ingredients are also of excellent quality, creating a winning harmony. I tried the pistachio and salmon pizza.
The dough, in classic Catania style, halfway between rustic and soft, holds up well for home delivery.
