Despite its appearance, the pistachio flavor is too faint.

Pizza Pistacchio Casale Serra Pizzuta Etna

Rating: 7/10

Nestled in the greenery of the Parco dell'Etna, Casale Serra Pizzuta (Nicolosi) is a charming place where you can eat really well, from rustic dishes to tasty soups, as well as pizzas and desserts. Obviously, I couldn't resist trying the pistachio pizza!

Made with pistachio cream (a blend of cream and pistachio pesto), the other ingredients include excellent mortadella and parmesan shavings. When it arrived at the table, it looked truly inviting with a very intense green cream, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing upon tasting, as the pistachio flavor is almost imperceptible.

The overall flavor is good, but considering the pistachio taste is too weak, it's impossible to give it a higher rating from that perspective.

During dinner, I also tried the excellent soups, simple but very well-seasoned, as well as some good desserts. During winter evenings, the atmosphere is truly warm and welcoming, offering a wonderful contrast to the cold (and sometimes snowy) weather outside.
