Fragrant and delicious, the pistachio intensity varies from one type to another.
Babbi is a major company that sells a wide range of confectionery products in Italy and abroad, among which their wafers are certainly the crown jewel, available in many flavors and formats.
I tasted the different types of pistachio wafers they offer, and they all share one common factor: they are delicious! The quality of the wafer is fabulous, with a full-bodied taste and impeccable crunchiness. The sweetness is always well-balanced, never becoming cloying; in fact, it's hard to stop eating them.
I've tried other flavors besides pistachio, and they are all equally amazing!
But now, let's focus on the various types to find out which ones really let the pistachio flavor stand out.
Gran Waferino

A wide and thin wafer. It contains 14% pistachio, which is strongly roasted and beautifully enhanced! The pistachio cream is the star here, as the wafer is simple and not glazed. The play on textures is fabulous, as is the harmony of flavors. Without a doubt, my favorite.
Babbino

A small, thick wafer. It contains 11% pistachio, which is very roasted and very good, but in the overall balance, it is quite masked by the white chocolate glaze. The overall taste is still fantastic. Perfect for a quick mini-snack.
Waferone

A wide and thick wafer. It contains 8% pistachio, which is very roasted and very good, but in the overall balance, it is quite masked by the generous white chocolate glaze. The overall taste is still fantastic. Without a doubt, it is the most indulgent one.
