Excellent pistachio pesto that pairs perfectly with the taste of seafood.
Rating: 8/10
Not just a simple lido, but a true beachfront pizzeria with a well-kept and welcoming location: we are talking about Tiki Beach in Pozzallo. The pizza menu isn't huge, but it is interesting, especially in the "seafood pizzas" section, where one pizza stands out for pairing pistachio and seafood.
The pizza is called "Africa" and is made with: pistachio pesto, mussels, shrimp, fior di latte, and parsley.

For the sake of accuracy, we removed the mussels, but they shouldn't change the pizza substantially. This pizza, very different from the ones we usually review, really impressed us, as the pistachio pesto dolloped on the pizza creates a great alternation of flavors with the seafood, managing to balance and contrast the taste continuously. The pesto used is of good quality, and the pistachio flavor is very noticeable where you bite into the pesto, yet it manages to maintain its delicate aroma even in the parts with seafood.
The pizza dough is also very good, well-leavened and with a moderately pronounced cornicione, halfway between crispy and soft (even if some of the pizzas we ordered were slightly overcooked and therefore a bit too crunchy).
It deserves a rating of 8/10, for its well-defined pistachio flavor, which, while not overpowering, gives an overall delicate and pleasant taste on the palate.
