A good pistachio pasta, perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Ristorante Pepe Rosa is one of the best in Bronte and is located right in the town center. They offer appetizers, first courses, main courses, and desserts, both pistachio-based and otherwise. So, let's talk about their pistachio pasta dishes!
They offer both pennette and ravioli. The ravioli (pictured) are filled with brasato (braised beef). In both cases, the pasta is dressed with their excellent pistachio sauce, which, from what I could tell, is creamed using pasta water (no heavy cream). The pistachio flavor isn't as intense as in their bruschette, but the taste is there and the dish is very pleasant.
The pasta is cooked perfectly. The portion size is average (it won't fill you up on its own, but it's enough with an appetizer).
Certainly recommended for lunch or dinner in Bronte if you want to sit down in a restaurant rather than grabbing a quick bite at one of the many local bars.
