A great pistachio pasta, perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Ristorante Protosteria is quite well-known in Bronte and is located right in the town center. They offer both pasta and main courses, featuring pistachio and other ingredients. So, let's talk about their pistachio pasta!
They have 2 versions, one with a cream base and one without (the one in the photo we are reviewing). If you are looking for a more intense pistachio flavor, I definitely recommend the one without cream.
The pistachio is of excellent quality, lightly roasted, where you can really taste the typical, natural sweetness of Bronte pistachio DOP. The percentage of pistachio is also very high.
The portion is quite generous and the pasta is cooked perfectly.
The only downside, in my personal opinion, is that the salt level was a bit too low, which made the dish slightly bland. These are obviously subjective matters, but if you decide to eat here and don't like under-salted food, you might want to ask for a bit more salt.
