Fresh lasagna, packed with chopped pistachio.

lasagne pistacchio cinniri cunzata trecastagni

Cinniri Cunzata, in Trecastagni, is a small deli where we immediately noticed a great attention to product quality and customer satisfaction. For a quick lunch in Trecastagni, we tried their pistachio lasagna.

NOTE: they contain no meat, so they are vegetarian.

The lasagna is made with fresh pasta, and the quality is immediately noticeable on the palate. The béchamel is made in-house and is also of the highest quality.

What definitely stands out is the generous amount of chopped pistachio, used in a finer version inside (mixed into the béchamel) and a coarser grain on top. This gives a remarkable crunch to every bite, and when you get all those crunchy pistachios under your teeth, you'll really taste their excellent flavor.

The béchamel is enriched with a bit of onion and deglazed with brandy.

We really liked them, especially considering the excellent value for money (a portion costs only 4 euros!). The staff is very kind and the place, in its simplicity, is very welcoming, featuring a small "green area" (with artificial grass) inside.
