Donna Peppina is one of the most famous spots in Zafferana Etneo, celebrated for its siciliana. In addition to the siciliana, which we enjoyed and for which you can find the review here, we tried their pistachio arancino.
Unfortunately, the arancino didn't convince us as much as the siciliana, because as you can see from the photo, the amount of pistachio is truly minimal, with the arancino mostly filled with cheese. The overall flavor isn't bad, but considering the frying was a bit heavy (though it may have been a one-off), the product didn't thrill us.
Unfortunately, in this case, the rating is 2/10. As always, we would be more than happy to try it again if the place decides to tweak the recipe by increasing the amount of pistachio.
